Together with Design Researcher David Huffaker, I invented this feature which tracks historic and real-time busyness at over 1 million places around the world. The original feature has since spawned a dedicated engineering and product team focused on generating real-time place insights to help people organize their day, run errands, and plan trips.

Crowdedness is often a good indicator of quality. What if we could visualize visits in aggregate? I explored a number of different visualizations and ways of framing this data along with our UX Writer & Researcher.
